What we do with your data
The short version
We collect what we need to make outfit and skincare suggestions feel personal — your name, email, the basics from onboarding, what's in your closet, and how you describe each day. That's it. We don't sell anything, we don't run ads, and we don't share your data with third parties for marketing.
Who we are
Primer is operated by Sardar Sons Technology. You can reach us anytime at primer.daily@gmail.com.
What we store
Your account email, the display name you choose, and your onboarding answers (style goals, height, build, lifestyle). Your wardrobe items, color profile, skin type, skincare routine, daily check-ins, daily outfits, and confidence log entries — all tied to your account. Stored in Supabase with row-level security so other users can never see them.
Face data (color analysis and skin scan)
Two features ask for a photo of your face: the optional color-analysis selfie during onboarding, and the optional deep skin scan. The photo includes your face because we need to read your skin tone, undertone, and visible skin characteristics — that's the whole point of the feature.
What we collect: a single selfie image you choose to submit. We do not use any biometric face-recognition or face-identification technology. We do not build a face template, a "faceprint," or any identifier that could be used to recognize you later. We are reading color and skin condition, not identity.
What we do with it: the photo is sent once over an encrypted connection to Anthropic's Claude API. Claude analyzes the image and returns structured results — your color season, undertone, skin type, observed skin concerns. Those structured results are saved to your account so the app can personalize outfit and skincare suggestions.
What we retain: the photo itself is discarded immediately after analysis returns. We do not store the image on Primer's servers. Only the structured analysis results (text and category labels) are retained, and only until you delete your account. Anthropic's data handling policy applies to the single API request that processes the image.
Sharing: face data is not shared with advertisers, analytics providers, or any third party beyond Anthropic for the single analysis call. It is never sold.
Both scans are optional. You can skip them during onboarding and the app still works. You can clear your saved color and skin results at any time by deleting your account from Settings → Delete account.
Photos you add to your closet stay in your account and are visible only to you. You can delete any item at any time from inside the app.
Location
If you allow location access, we use your approximate location once per Daily Plan to fetch the local weather from open-meteo.com. We don't store your coordinates and we don't track you between sessions. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Subscriptions
Primer Pro is billed through Apple and managed by RevenueCat. We receive your entitlement status (active or not) and an anonymized customer ID — never your payment details. Cancel anytime via the Apple ID Settings link in the app or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Sign-in
You can sign in with Apple or with email. When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple shares only your email (or a relay address) and the name you choose to share. We don't request friends, contacts, or any other social data.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't run third-party trackers, fingerprinting, or analytics SDKs beyond what's strictly needed to make the app work.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time directly in the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, wardrobe, color and skin results, routines, check-ins, and confidence logs from our database. It cannot be undone.
If you'd rather email us, write to primer.daily@gmail.com and we'll delete your account and all associated data within seven days.
Children
Primer is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you inside the app.
